SIBR : The Interdisciplinary Approach to Research Innovation and Practice

On June 9-10, 2019, two faculty members from Cavite State University Imus Campus participated in the research conference held at the Emerald Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The said activity was organized by the Society of Interdisciplinary Business Research (SIBR) and Faculty of Economics of the Thammasat University, Thailand with the theme “The Interdisciplinary Approach to Research Innovation and Practice”. It aims to promote and facilitate research outputs in business and economics using theoretical, quantitative, qualitative and other interdisciplinary approaches.

The SIBR 2019 Bangkok conference has orchestrated the participation of academicians and professionals from all business and economics expertise to share their latest research findings and brainstorm new research ideas across disciplines.

During the 2-day conference, 65 professionals and researchers from universities and colleges in Japan, USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Korea and the Philippines have successfully presented their research papers. Dr. Alfe M. Solina, the Chairperson of the Department of Management together with a faculty co-author, Dr. Liane Vina G. Ocampo from CvSU Imus presented their paper entitled “Monetary Policy Indicators and Economic Growth in the Philippines (1988-2017)”.

Found to have significant relevance and sound methodology, their paper was eventually selected by the editors of RIBER (Review of Integrative Business and Economics Research) for publication in the forthcoming issue of the journal.

At the end of the conference, the participants were able to establish their academic network and acquire new research insights and experiences along the area of business and economics. (Drs. A.M. Solina & L. V. G. Ocampo).
