Naling places 1st runner-up in The Pop Stage

CvSU-Imus Campus Alumnus Martin Naling was hailed as The Pop Stage Season 1's first runner up during the online talent searchʼs Big Reveal last August 2, 2020 via Facebook Live. 

Naling stood second among six finalists who battled out for the chance to win one million pesos from Popeyes and a one-year management contract with Viva Artists Agency. 

The AB Journalism graduate and a spoken word artist from Imus, Cavite, amazed the Facebook Live viewers nationwide as he delivered his heartfelt and sensational piece “Pangarap” for the grand finals. 

In his official Facebook page, Naling expressed his gratitude towards all the people behind the success he earned after the three-month run of the competition.

Moreover, he also thanked everyone for their positive feedbacks on his performance. 

“Premyo na sakin yung mga feedback na sobrang nabuhayan sila at na-inspire. Sobrang thankful dahil nakaya pa ring maging blessing sa iba within quarantine through art.”, Naling shared. 

“Ikaw na nangangarap, maging buo ka na walang sinisirang iba. Magpapatuloy tayo. Para sa mas marami pa.”, he concluded. 

Host and contest creator Matteo Guidicelli, together with singing world champion Jed Madela, Asiaʼs Nightingale Lani Misalucha, and G-Force dancer Ritz Beltran judged each performance based on originality and creativity, quality of performance, and entertainment value.
