Balitang Bacooreño airs its February episode with CvSU Imus instructor Richard Gaytos as its news anchor

March 9,2020 — The City Government of Bacoor showcased its second episode of Balitang Bacooreño with DLMC Instructor and BA in Journalism alumnus, Richard Gaytos as one of its news anchors. Karina Tesaluna, a first year BA in Journalism student, also made it as a field reporter.

Various youth residents of the city were screened by the Bacoor Information Office during the application period. With their background in journalism, Gaytos and Tesaluna claimed their spot as members of the online news segment.

As part of their skills training, both attended the Level Up! Hosting Training and Workshop with TV Host and newscaster Paulo Bediones as resource speaker last February 26, 2020.

“I felt overwhelmed and proud. Overwhelmed kasi with that achievement, I have witnessed again the support and love of my family, friends, co-workers and even  my students. Proud kasi I’m always doing things like this not just for my own improvement but also for Cavite State University and my students” Gaytos stated after the segment was aired.

Gaytos was also once a writer for Women’s Journal and currently serves his second year as instructor of Department of Languages and Mass Communication.
