Bachelor of Science in Computer Science


Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) program covers the study of computing solutions and programming through theories and practical experiences with the use of computer technology. The future of being computer scientists involves designing and building software; developing effective ways to solve computing problems, design, implementation and maintenance of databases; and identifying and learning new technologies.


The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program aims to produce graduates who can:

  • Apply knowledge of theories, algorithmic foundations, implementation and application of information and computing solutions to the practice of computer science;
  • Conduct system analysis, perform design and development of computing solutions;
  • Conduct relevant researches and developmental activities in the field of computer science;
  • Promote environmental preservation and protection on projects and enterprises related to computer science; and
  • Morally upright IT professionals with entry-level competencies.

Specific professions/careers/occupations or trades that the graduates of BSCS may pursue. After satisfactorily completing all the requirements to a BSCS degree, students may qualify for but not limited to the following entry level positions:
